Academic IELTSFor university applications and professional registration in fields like medicine, engineering, accounting, law, and teaching. Most institutions accept band 6.5 or 7.0; Master's programmes and regulated professions often require 7.5 or higher.
General Training
General Training IELTSFor Canada Express Entry, Australia 189/190, UK Skilled Worker visas, and other immigration pathways. Most programmes ask for CLB 7 (band 6.0 in each section); higher-tier visas and regulated trades require 7.0 or above.

Each full test covers all four parts: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. One full test takes about 3 hours.
Do I get a band score?
Yes. Listening and Reading are scored at once from your raw score out of 40. Writing and Speaking get examiner-style feedback.
